Annual Scholarship Awards Program

Now is the time for Students to apply for a Scholarship!  Scholarship Applications are being accepted from January 1, 2009 through May 8, 2009.  Scholarship Applications Are Due No Later Than Friday, May 8, 2009.

 The Scholarships will be awarded during the SAACC Annual South County Festival scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Herrington Harbour North Marina, 389 Deale Road, Tracys Landing, MD 20779.

 Scholarship Applications may be obtained on the SAACC Website at www.socoinfo.com, at the SAACC Office or at Southern High School, South River High School and Anne Arundel Community College.  For more information, contact (410) 867-3129.

• $1,000.00 Scholarship:  Each year, the Southern Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce (SAACC) awards a $1,000 Scholarship to one or more students towards their continuing education.  Scholarships are available to high school seniors or a student already attending college.

• $500.00 Culinary Scholarship:  For a graduating senior who seeks a career in the Culinary Arts as a Chef or in Restaurant Management, John and Gail Hiser of Skipper's Pier offers a $500 Culinary Scholarship.  The monies are to be directed for post-graduation training or education.
